Master Classes:
At the festival, participants will have the opportunity to attend master classes led by experts from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, professors from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, and top experts from Austria and other countries. These master classes, covering violin, viola, cello, and double bass specialties, will be offered in various formats tailored to the needs of the participants, including one-on-one sessions, group classes, and chamber music courses. Depending on the participants' age and level of performance, the festival organizing committee will assign different experts to provide targeted guidance. By receiving personalized instruction from international master musicians, listening to their teachings, and gaining enlightenment about art and music, participants will gain invaluable experience and knowledge.
Workshop and Lectures:
During the festival, various forms of professors will open doors to different perspectives for participants, such as lectures on performance techniques, teaching seminars / forums, Music appreciation and music history lectures, introduction to Vienna music education, career lectures (admissions, interviews, employment), artistic guidance seminars (piano accompaniment), and more,such as :“How to join world-class orchestras”“How to kickstart your professional artistic career”“How to better plan your career in the music institutions”

Through the competitions, we look up to the best, promote the improvement of our own artistic level, show our musical talent, promote the culture of our region as well as our own people, and contribute to the development of world string music!
The World String Music Festival's competition is an excellent opportunity for participants to demonstrate their professional strengths, to be judged by international experts, and to receive international honors. Participating in the competition not only allows you to showcase your talent on the world stage and promote the improvement of your own artistic level, but also allows you to communicate and learn from outstanding musicians from all over the globe. Winning awards from international competitions can be a powerful material for international endorsement and background enhancement for future applications to schools, study abroad and other related matters. These honors and achievements not only prove one's musical strength, but also lay a solid foundation for future studies and career.
The competition will also identify outstanding young talents and provide them with a boost to propel them on their professional development journey!
The competition boards are conducted according to different string majors, divided into:
-Violin, Viola, Cello, Double bass, and ethnic stringed instruments from all over the world (e.g., Erhu, Guzheng, Yangqin, Pipa, Morin khuur, etc.);
-Competitions for soloists and ensembles (duo, trio, quartet, chamber orchestra, etc.);
-and age groups are divided according to age;
Individuals, combinations, and ensembles participating in the competition will be honored with gold, silver, and bronze medals, special awards from the organizing committee, and other honors.
Concert:
Concerts held in Vienna's representative churches, concert halls, musicians' residences, government ceremonial halls, community cultural centers, and other venues are excellent ways to experience the rich musical atmosphere of Vienna and precious opportunities for participants to showcase their talents. Performing and showcasing talents in places where historical giants like Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, and Strauss left their footprints, such as Beethoven's residence, Schubert's church, Mozart's residence, House of Strauss, will be both a sacred honor and a memorable experience for a lifetime. In these venues, one can feel the weight of history, the legacy of music, and the profound influence left by the masters. It will provide each performer with an unforgettable showcase experience and the artistic honor of receiving applause from the enthusiastic audience of Vienna! Outstanding performers will have the opportunity to participate in performances at the world-famous Vienna Golden Hall.
Visits: The World String Festival organizes a series of visits, tracing the footsteps of famous musicians throughout history, immersing participants in an atmosphere filled with musical notes, inspiring musical creativity, and igniting the spirit of progress. Visits include destinations such as Beethoven's Residence, Haydn's Residence, Strauss Coffee House, Schubert's Church, Vienna Woods, and more.
